Maternal Mental Health

Matresence, the process of becoming a mother, comes with seismic shifts on multiple levels of a woman's life. The Pre-natal and Post-natal chapter is filled with changes in identity, hormones and relationships.

Preventative planning before giving birth safeguards mental health during the post-patrum experience. Recovering from difficult birth experiences and learning new skills in the early stages of motherhood can provide integral support to recovery. Post-Partum Depression (PND) is not a black and white issue, there are many factors impacting the transitory time and most mothers will experience several symptoms in their journey of matresence.

Therapy is about working towards better.
