What is Social Anxiety?

Social Anxiety is a specific anxiety disorder which prevents people from interacting with others over a prolonged period of time due to an over emphasised fear of judgement, embarrassment and perceived failure. Anxiety creates a negative feedback loop where the individual starts to lose out on social connection. The longer someone has suffered from social anxiety, the harder it is to overcome it. #mentalhealth #anxiety #psych101 #psychology #preventionbeforecure
